Nature Detectives
We feature 1 hour weekly 4 or 8 week sessions based on the seasonal themes of Fall-Trees as Habitat, Winter Wisdom and Spring-Nature in Motion for K-3rd grade students. We engage students to discover the mysteries of the outdoor world on their school campus or homeschool location. Our program is based on using our Nature Discovery Journals to write, draw, or record data each class. We are a skill building program; problem solving, observation, critical thinking and naturalist skills. We blend the arts, literacy, science and stories always focusing our attention on the impacts on nature and our ecosystem.

I started The Curious Brush in 2016 to encourage kids to explore art, experiment with different materials, and create in new ways. The experience matters as much as the masterpiece! I’m an encourager of first attempts and second tries, and I believe the very process of creating helps kids relax, express emotion, solve problems, and feel brave and successful. Sacramento Adventure Playground
We are proud to offer a Homeschool Enrichment Program five times per year. All programming is on the Maple Neighborhood Center campus. All activities are based upon our unique setting, often using simple materials to give youth a better avenue to understanding science, art and more. We will provide an enrichment component featuring four STEAM activities per week, two PHYSICAL PLAY activities featuring structured movement within fun games, fitness and/or sports basics, and Play & Social Time each day utilizing our unique setting.
We also offer FREE public play W-Th-F, 2:15-6:30 and Saturdays 11-4.
Masha’s Art Studio
Masha’s Art Studio offers an individualized approach to teaching students fundamentals of art. Children learn basic, intermediate, and advanced levels of drawing, painting and composition in a creative environment. By providing solid art foundation, this studio enables students to explore and express themselves. All the fun classes are designed to help kids build confidence, better understand themselves and their world, develop problem-solving abilities, and build patience and dedication. As a result, Masha’s students have won numerous awards for multiple art contests. Masha develops a nurturing relationship with young talents at her studio while exposing them to the wonders of art.
