We offer learn through play & art classes and experiences for families!

Classes For Homeschoolers

Looking for enrichment classes? We offer a variety of classes to support YOUR parent led education! Math Mania, GeoQuest, Wacky Writers, Art Exploration, and Kinder Hour - even a D&D class just for homeschool kids! - PLUS we're adding new classes to our schedule all the time!
We are vendors with Cottonwood, South Sutter, Horizon, and Visions charter schools.

FAMILY LEARNING LAB CODE OF CONDUCT

Sensory Play Area

We believe in the overwhelming effectiveness of hands-on, manipulative play for learning. And not just for littles! Kids of ALL ages benefit immensely from real life, 3 dimensional interactive projects and play.

Our Sensory Play Area Is A Kid Favorite!

Kids LOVE scooping and pouring - and often they'll gather around our custom sensory play table for hours. Yes, hours!

And it's not "just play" happening here. Fine motor skills, cognitive development, social and emotional growth - even language development - there's so much brain building and learning happening around our sensory table.

(Our center is designed for ages 4+ due to choking hazards. You are welcome to bring in younger kids with a waiver and very close supervision. Please no "mouthers" in our sensory play area.)

Want to take it a step further? Use our sensory table themes as a springboard into learning for the day. Throughout the year you'll find various themed activities in our sensory play area - from dinosaurs to plants to community helpers! We even have a "worksheet library" of themed worksheets to cover a variety of subjects.

Not Just Scooping & Pouring...

We love adding more educational opportunities to our sensory play area. Small world play, loose parts builds, and age appropriate STEM challenge tables round out our sensory play programming for an indoor learn-through-play area like no other!

Art Lab

Kids are invited to jump into open ended art in our buffet-style art lab. Kids can create whatever they can imagine, all day long. For those kids who like to start with an idea, we post weekly art projects in the lab for kids to try.

All The Glitter, Paint, & Art Fun In One Place!

Many families already understand the important development that is happening when kids create - but it's a lot to have stocked at home! Not to mention the cleanup!

We provide the art supplies and the space for your kids (and their grownups!) to create in our art lab.

And while we do ask families to tidy up after they're done, we don't mind sweeping up the glitter at the end of a fun art day. Better here than in your dining room!

For Kids Who Are Ready For More...

Do you have a talented artist and not sure how to support their next step?

Sign them up for our Art Exploration Class where they can learn a variety of art techniques inspired by famous artists and learn from our own incredibly talented Ms. Tiffany! Drop-ins welcome as space allows.

On Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons Ms. Tiffany leads students through art projects designed to take their art skills to the next level. Each day features a different project and students are welcome to join one or both classes.

Co-Schooling

Homeschool your way, together!

Like co-working but for homeschooling families, Family Learning Lab is a place where you can homeschool YOUR way, but together with shared resources and real, genuine community. We aim to address the pain points of homeschooling and fill homeschooling needs that are not currently being met in our area. We are a 501c3 non-profit with a mission to support families choosing alternative education.
