Classes FAQ

Nope! We do not charge registration fees. Rarely a class may require a small material fee, like Clay Creators. This is simply to help us with material costs.

No. Students may join our classes any time. We have a variety of payment choices and you’re welcome to use whichever works best for your family. For example, you may use drop in passes or punch cards while waiting for charter vouchers.

We are a whole family center designed for all members of the family to learn, play, and enjoy the space together. Students who are not in a class have access to our sensory play area and art lab as well as learning materials to enjoy. We are offering a unique experience to our homeschooling community tailored to the whole family.

Either the All Class Bundle OR Kinder Hour gives you complimentary access to our center M-F 9am to 3pm to enjoy all our programming. Choose the option that is most appropriate for your students’ ages, but you do NOT need both.

We offer drop in passes for you to try any class. If you want to enjoy the class but not sure if you can commit to all sessions, feel free to buy a punch card to save money.

We welcome all children who can follow our code of conduct. Our primary guideline is that everyone gets to have fun. If your child is unable to allow all guests to enjoy their experience and allow them to participate equally, a different center may be more suited to your needs.

We feel that parents “just know” if a place is a good fit for their kids, so we’re happy to work with you to observe a class or visit the center for free so you can really see if it’s a good fit. We also offer our drop in passes so you can try out classes for a day without a large commitment.

All classes have an age or grade range listed. For safety reasons, we do not allow children in a class area who are outside of this age range. This includes adults – you are welcome to bring your child to you at any time if they need support or assistance.

We understand that many families need to bring members of their support teams with them. Please note that only one adult is free per family, additional adults are $5 for the day. We have capacity limitations and may need to ask you to limit the number of adults you bring in on days we are reaching capacity.

We are working towards including a description of what your child should be able to do for each class. Our hope is that this allows you to gauge if your child would do well in the class.  We desire to meet the needs of as many families as possible so we are very flexible. However, especially for more structured classes, we need to make sure that all students get equal access to the material and learning opportunities. If you have specific questions for your family please reach out!

Sure! Our pricing structure is deeply rooted in our desire for creating a whole family, community experience that’s affordable and meets a variety of needs.

Day Pass: $10 per child age 3 and older. Includes everything on the schedule for the day from 9am to 3pm. Best for families trying things out or only attending every once in awhile.

Day Pass Punch Card: $60 for 10 child day passes, sharable among siblings. Best for large families trying out the center and families wanting to come more often without committing to a month class but needing a price break.

One Month One Class One Student: $40. Best for students who just want to attend one class like Cardboard Creators. Does not include any access outside of class time.

All Class Bundle One Month One Student: $80. Best for students wishing to attend more than one class, includes all access to our center programming from M-F 9am to 3pm. In store private pay discount available.

All Class Bundle Three Months One Student: $200 Best for students wishing to attend more than one class for three months, includes all access to our center programming from M-F 9am to 3pm. In store private pay discount available.

All Class Bundle Three Months Whole Family: $500 A price break for larger families, best for families with 3 or more children ages 3 and up who want all access to our center M-F 9am to 3pm. Includes 2 adult admissions. In store private pay discount available.

Kinder Hour 1 Student: $80/mo, $200/3mo. Kinder Hour is included in our All Class Bundle. Some families find that specifying Kinder Hour to their charter is an easier process because it’s specifically designed for TK, Kinder, and 1st grade students. You may purchase Kinder Hour at the same price point as an All Class Bundle with the same benefits. Do NOT purchase both.

Great question! Let’s break it down:

EL: Exploration Lab. These classes begin with a mini instruction or challenge, then allow students free time to create, explore, and tackle that challenge. Examples: Cardboard creators – students are given instruction on a type of construction, then a challenge. Students are then given the remaining time to free create.

DL: Discovery Lab. These classes are lead from beginning to end by a teacher. Our Discovery Labs keep our eclectic, hands-on approach, but are lead the entire time by a teacher. Examples: Kinder Discovery Hour – Teacher leads students through circle time activities the entire hour.

SL: Study Lab. These labs are designed for independent study that’s supported through an encouraging teacher who’s there to keep kids on task, help them reach their goals, and help them with problems as needed. Example: Math Study Lab – kids work independently but supported and guided by staff.

CG: Co-schooling Group. These sessions have a community center type vibe with group work that’s facilitated by staff. They’re not classes you would purchase, but are available for any of our guests to enjoy when they’re here on a day pass or for students enrolled in Kinder Hour or an All Class Bundle. Examples: Monday Crafternoons, Social Fridays, and Mindful Movement.
