Wacky Writers: Gamified Creative Writing Group
Wacky Writers turns writing time into game time! Each week, kids dive into creative writing games that get them putting pencil to paper without even realizing how much they’re writing. With fun activities like story wheels, silly menus, and “code the teacher” challenges, we help reluctant writers build confidence and discover that writing can be max fun!
Ridiculous Writing That Kids Love
In Wacky Writers, we help even the most reluctant writers fall in love with writing—one wacky game at a time!
Each week, kids jump into creative, hands-on activities that turn writing into a social and exciting experience. From spinning story wheels and designing their own restaurant menus, to coding the teacher or inventing a board game, every session sparks imagination and helps students get words flowing through the secret magic of fun.
Our one rule? The wackier, the better! By gamifying the writing process, kids naturally build confidence, expand their creativity, and strengthen their writing skills—without the pressure of traditional assignments. The result? When it’s time to write for school, they’ll feel more ready, capable, and even excited to get started.
This class begins with gentle and simple activities and builds kids’ thresholds for writing as the year progresses.
Recommended ages for this class are 7 to 13. Kids should be able to sit at a table for about 20 to 30 minutes at a table, and allow all students the ability to participate, hear, and understand the teacher.
