MyClub: Kids Clubs Meetup For Homeschoolers

Welcome to myclub!

MyClub is a monthly Kids Club meetup for homeschoolers. Kids get to meet with friends and do something they enjoy together.

Meetings are currently held at NewSongs Music School 8089 Madison Ave #6 Citrus Heights, CA. Look for our sign.

We also have optional monthly challenges clubs can complete to win points for prizes. Click here to print the challenge for the Oct 11th meeting.

💲 Donation request is $1 per kid, per meeting.

(This helps me provide light snacks and prizes for the kids.)

📢 Please bring something from home for your club meeting.

📢 Toddlers may bring something for show and tell to win a small prize.

Clubs are for all ages, some clubs are teens only.

We have a play area and “club totes” for toddlers.

+ Moms/Parents Book Club & Coffee.

CURRENT CLUBS INCLUDE:

  • Lego Club
  • Chess Club
  • Art Club
  • Art Club 13+
  • Crafts Club

  • Crochet Club 13+
  • Comic Club (Drawing, &/or Reading)
  • Game Club
  • Kids are welcome to create their own clubs!

For Toddlers: We have a mat set up and a case of “Club Totes.” Grownups help rotate these club totes throughout the meeting so little ones can play.

Parents choose if their kids are ready to be in a club with the big kids at the tables.

For Teens: We have some clubs with a teen only table like Art and Crochet – let’s work together to get more teens meeting up!

For Moms/Grownups: Free coffee and book club! For this upcoming meeting, bring a book you’re currently reading or want to read, then take it from there.

Registration is not required, but Facebook RSVPs are helpful if possible. Make sure you’re on our text message list so you can get updates. Sign up here.

More information about myclub:

MyClub is a Monthly Meeting of kid formed clubs. Kids join clubs in their age range and get to hangout with like minded kids and make friends.

Each meeting kids are presented with club strengthening challenges they can complete during the month to earn points for prizes.  These challenges also subtly teach them about important business strategies like branding, networking, and marketing.

Kids are encouraged to communicate with members of their clubs throughout the month, and they can coordinate additional meetups.

We also encourage clubs to come together at our other Family Learning Lab events for additional club time.

We do ask for a $1 donation per kid, per meeting to help with refreshments, prizes, and supplies.

More information below.

  • This is NOT a drop off event. We encourage parents to mingle with other parents over some refreshments and meet new friends!
  • Special “club” for toddlers. Our toddler club is special for little ones. Littles get to play with club totes that rotate throughout the meeting. We also encourage kids to bring something special from home that they really like or are interested in for show and tell – they will get to pick a small prize from a treasure box when they do.
  • Donut Raffle each meeting! Each kid will receive a ticket at the start of each meeting. We will draw a ticket for the donut raffle at the start of the meeting. Whoever wins the raffle wins a dozen fancy donuts for their club that morning. The more members each club recruits, the more chances they have to win the raffle.
  • Kids MAY change clubs from month to month. And they’re also welcome to start a new club at any time. However kids will be encouraged to complete challenges throughout the month that teach them skills to make their clubs thrive. Switching clubs may cause a loss of this momentum, so please encourage them to stick with it when you think it’s appropriate.
  • We are asking for a $1 donation per kid per meeting. This mostly helps me buy snacks and prizes so I don’t go broke. 🙂
  • All participants must sign and have a waiver on file and hold harmless Family Learning Lab Co-School and NewSongs Music Studio.
  • These meetings take place in a music studio. We ask for your help strictly enforcing a no running rule. Let’s keep a “culture of co-op” and all work together to respect the space and keep it clean and undamaged.
