Top News This Week…

 *Free Birthday Party

We are looking for a few families who would be willing to be in our marketing videos and pictures. You’ll enjoy a free Mock Birthday Party on Sunday March 21st from 2pm to 5pm. Kids will get to participate in a pretend birthday party and make glow slime in our glow room. Plus, there will be cake! Must sign a photo release and be ok with your pictures being used in our public marketing. Please email Christy at [email protected] if you can come or sign up on our community message board!

 *NEW Art Program

IWe are changing up our art program – we will now have an Art Exploration Station in the art lab where you can try some fun art labs with your kids. On Wednesdays at 1:45pm we’ll gather around the family tables to try out the art lab in a group with some extra support. This month we’ve got all things charcoals, paint pouring on spinning turntables, water marbling print dipping, and gel plate prints on the schedule. I seriously cannot wait to have some messy art fun with everyone!

 *New Science Exploration Station

We are also making a shift to our science program. We are creating a Science Exploration Lab in the back corner for families to explore some science labs together. We’ll lead these labs in a group setting for Jr. Science and Friday Discovery Science. We’ll add more and more to this science corner as the year progresses for lots more science fun!

*St Patrick’s Day Party is donation only for students

For kids who have an all class bundle or kinder hour bundle we decided to ask for donations instead of charge for tickets to our St. Patrick’s Day party & STEM workshop. Other students can purchase a ticket for $8 online. We are asking for a suggested donation of $3 to help us with the costs of materials. Also, please note we will have two edible crafts at this event that involve graham crackers, rolos, fruit loops and marshmallows. They will be set up as optional stations.

*Jr. Entrepreneur Class Seeks Micro Investors

Our Jr. Entrepreneur students are preparing Shark Tank style pitches to seek investments in their businesses. If you are interested in coming to their business pitch session and potentially making a micro investment ($5 to $10) to support our students, please let Ms. Christy know! Sign up sheet is on our Community Message Board as well.

NEW Art Program!

We are starting a new art program at FamLab. Each week families can explore a different art medium and project throughout the week. Materials and how to videos will be available in the art lab throughout the week – come have some messy art fun with us!

If you want a little guidance and a group experience, join us for Art Exploration Lab on Wednesdays at 1:45pm. We’ll try the lab together and explore different projects in a group.

This slight adjustment to our programming feels just right for our FamLab group lab style of learning together in community. Join us!

Thank you for keeping our “culture of co-op” by cleaning up and resetting materials after use. 🙂
