Drop In Art Classes For Homeschoolers - Citrus Heights
Art Exploration
Our Art Exploration class introduces students to a wide range of art concepts and techniques through thoughtfully designed weekly projects. Each session touches on age-appropriate art standards—such as line, shape, color, texture, composition, and pattern—while giving students experience with multiple mediums. Kids develop artistic confidence as they experiment, create, and discuss their work in a supportive, hands-on environment.
Cardboard Creators
Cardboard Creators teaches students how to build with one of the most versatile materials in the art world: cardboard. Kids learn cutting, scoring, folding, fastening, and structural techniques that allow them to bring their ideas to life. With plenty of guidance, tools, and supervision, students design and construct anything they can imagine—from small sculptures to detailed models—while developing engineering and creative problem-solving skills.
Monday Crafternoons
Monday Crafternoons gives families a welcoming space to create together. Students and their grownups can try a variety of high-interest crafts each week, including Perler bead designs, beaded bracelets, crochet, embroidery, and seasonal projects. This session blends creativity with connection, offering a relaxed environment where friends and family can make, chat, and explore new hobbies side by side.
Process Art Studio
Our Process Art Studio invites kids of all ages and abilities to paint, explore, and create without rules or rigid steps. Students experiment freely with color, tools, textures, and materials as they follow their curiosity and internal sense of design. The focus is on the creative process—not the final product—allowing each child to express themselves authentically and build confidence through open-ended play with art materials.
Clay Creators
Clay Creators introduces students to sculpting through weekly air-dry and polymer clay projects. Kids learn basic shaping, joining, and texturing techniques as they design their own figures, miniatures, ornaments, and more. Each class highlights a different project, giving students the experience of working with multiple clay types while building fine motor skills and artistic craftsmanship.
