WELCOME TO LITTLE LEARNERS! IN OUR CLASS, THE STUDENTS LEARN A NEW LETTER OF THE ALPHABET EACH WEEK. THE LEARNING OF EACH LETTER IS REINFORCED THROUGH LEARNING ABOUT A NEW ANIMAL WITH A NAME THAT BEGINS WITH THE NEW LETTER. IN ADDITION, THE KIDS LEARN ABOUT HISTORICAL FIGURES, ABOUT COMMUNITY HELPERS, AND ABOUT THE BEAUTIFUL STATE OF CALIFORNIA. OUR TIME WILL BE FILLED WITH CRAFTS, 5 MINUTE VIDEOS ON THE SPECIAL ANIMAL WE ARE LEARNING ABOUT, AND LOTS OF BOOKS! IN ADDITION, WE WILL LEARN NUMBER WRITING, AND SOME BASIC MATH PRINCIPLES. STUDENTS WILL LEARN MECHANICAL SKILLS, SUCH AS HOLDING A PENCIL, AND MENTAL SKILLS, SUCH AS FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS. EVERY CLASS IS GUARANTEED TO CHALLENGE, INSPIRE, AND MOTIVATE CHILDREN TO ACHIEVE THEIR HIGHEST POTENTIAL.
Chestnut Nature Kids gives youth the opportunity to develop a connection with nature in this modern time of technological dependency. Through access to natural elements, plants, and animals we introduce a multi-sensory environment at a natural pace. We seek to empower our next generation by giving them real life experiences that develop their strengths and awareness of their own natural processes. Our programs provide a variety of nature based experiences to youth. Among the many programs we have offered are: Equine, farm and ranch , nature exploration , botany and plant pattern , wild edibles and medicinal foods, wild crafting. Our programs often follow the opportunities of the seasons.
