Can you grow plants without dirt? Join us for an intro to hydroponics lesson that will have you figuring out the answer.
- Discuss plant needs and how those needs are met through a variety of ways.
- Analyze examples of a variety of hydroponic gardening methods and identify how plant needs are being met in each application.
- Discuss, learn, and analyze the Kratky method of hydroponic growing.
- Create your own hydroponic growing module for a small lettuce plant.
This 1 1/2 hour workshop address a variety of academic standards related to math, science, language arts, and STEM.
Work samples will be provided.
**Parent or guardian must stay on site during this workshop. You’re welcome to bring non participating kids to wait with you. There are comfortable places for you to relax, and free wi-fi.
