Fall Density Jars Experiment
Get ready to explore the science of density with a festive fall twist! Kids will layer water, corn syrup, and oil to create colorful liquid layers inside a jar. We’ll drop in fun fall-themed items—like leaves, acorns, or beads—and watch where they land in the layers. Students will discover why some liquids float on top while others sink, and how density is calculated. Each group will take turns pouring, predicting, and observing, and share their discoveries in an interactive group discussion.
