/// This month our Fun Friday will have even more fun and appeal to more ages with gameschooling and a STEM challenge! ///
SENSORY PLAY – Kids can play in fake snow at our sensory play station. Play in the large tub, or grab a scoop to play with in an individual tray.
STEM CHALLENGE – Can you build an igloo? Using marshmallows, toothpicks, and cotton balls kids can take on the challenge to create a small igloo, snowflake, or structure.
GAMESCHOOLING TABLE – Hit the Habitat Trail for older kids and Frozen Slides or Break The Ice game for younger kids.
LITERATURE CONNECTION & STORYTIME – Take a look at some non-fiction books about Polar regions and Penguins. Then join us at 10:45am for a reading of the story “Dear Polar Bears.”
ART PROJECT – Join us at the art table for mini watercolor resist snowflake paintings. We’ll use crayons to draw snowflakes, add
drops of liquid watercolors and sprinkle a little salt for some beautiful paintings you might just want to turn into ornaments.
**IMPORTANT NOTE** Sensory play includes a variety of ingredients and materials that may present choking hazards for small children, potential allergic reactions, and simply won’t taste good. Please be mindful of any allergies your children may have. A supervising adult must be present with their children during the entire event, and we ask that you supervise “mouthers” very closely. All participating parties must have a signed waiver on file.
Ingredients used in this month’s sensory play include but are not limited to: conditioner, baking soda, food coloring, small parts and pieces.
